Michael Boniface McGrath (born February 12, 2016) is a McGrathian junior politician who currently serves in the McGrathian Senate from West Virginia. A member of the Republican Party, he is the biological son of President Joe McGrath.
Early Childhood
Michael McGrath was born on February 12, 2016, at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. He was born in a cloning lab at the base. Michael is a clone of Joe McGrath, who is his father.
In 2018, when Michael was two years old, his father established McGrathia, which resulted in Michael becoming a McGrathian citizen. For the rest of his early life, Michael resided in Joetown and he lived a normal childhood.
2024 Senate Campaign
In early 2024, Michael announced his candidacy for the senate seat from West Virginia to succeed outgoing senator Joe Manchin. In order to be eligible, Michael was given an apartment in Charleston for free. Some political analysts accused Michael of carpetbagging, since he didn’t reside previously within west Virginia.
Despite the concerns of the analysts, Michael won his senate seat, defeating Democrat candidate Don Blankenship in a landslide.
Senate Career (2025-Present)
Michael took his seat in the McGrathian Senate on January 3, 2025, becoming the first child senator in McGrathian history.
During his career in the senate, Michael was confirmed to be a supporter of President McGrath’s policies. Michael himself is part of the Senate Irish Committee, which is a bipartisan committee of senators with Irish ancestry.
In January 2026, Michael began to support a McGrathian conquest of Greenland, which is owned by the Kingdom of Denmark. He also introduced a bill to rename Greenland to Blueland after a hypothetical invasion by McGrathia. In response to this support of military action, Michael was legally banned from travelling to Denmark.
Personal Life
Michael currently commutes between West Virginia and Joetown. He owns a house of Washington Avenue in Joetown alongside his apartment in Charleston. Michael was previously an atheist, but he now identifies with traditional Irish paganism. Currently, Michael is the only pagan serving in the McGrathian Senate.
Michael is best friends with Sergey Petrov, his adopted younger brother from Russia. Michael’s other friends include Tyler Chang, Viktor Shevchenko, and Joseph Sorenson.
Michael’s favorite food is macaroni and cheese.
