The United MidAtlantic States (UMS) is a country on the Eastern coast of North America. It borders the U.S. states of New York to the north and northeast, Virginia to the south, and Ohio to the west. It also borders to independent country of McGrathia to the southwest. As of 2026, the MidAtlantic States have a combined population of 30,148,411 people living in its four states and federal district. The capital of the UMS is Washington, D.C., the former capital of the United States, and its largest city is Philadelphia. Other major cities in the country include Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Wilmington, Newark, and Atlantic City.
The United MidAtlantic States consists of four states. These states are: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. When the MidAtlantic States seceded in 2020, it took over other regions, including Staten Island, Washington D.C., and Virginia’s portion of the Delmarva Peninsula. The country has been led by President Richard Rakoto and Vice President Carter Scott since their ticket’s victory in the country’s first presidential election in 2024.
Today, the MidAtlantic States is a part of the United Nations, G7, and has observer status in both NATO and the European Union. The country is a federal republic.
