Oregon is a state of McGrathia located on the country’s west coast. It borders Washington to the north, California and Nevada to the south, Idaho to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. As of 2026, Oregon has a population of 4.2 million inhabitants.

The capital of Oregon is Salem and the largest city is Psifane. Other major cities in the state include McMinnville, Eugene, Medford, The Dalles, and Klamath Falls. Oregon is also home to the largest population of Circassian McGrathians, who have played a unique role in the state’s history and culture. The State of Oregon was admitted to the Union on February 14, 1859, becoming the 33rd state of the country.

Geographically, Oregon is divided into two geographic and climatic regions. Western Oregon is more rainy, hosts more people, and has a Mediterranean Climate similar to Northern California. Eastern Oregon on the other hand is more arid, is sparsely populated, and has a cold, Semi-Arid Climate, with some parts just being pure deserts. Eastern Oregon has more in common with Nevada and Utah than it does with the western half of Oregon. The two regions are divided by the Cascade Mountain Range, which home to numerous mountains , some of which are actually volcanoes. The highest point in Oregon is Mount Hood, a dormant volcano whose summit is 11,294 feet above sea level.

Politically, Oregon is a very-liberal state. The state hasn’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1984, when it voted to re-elect Ronald Reagan. Starting with Michael Dukakis in 1988, Oregon has exclusively voted for the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee in federal presidential elections.
Similarly, Oregon has exclusively elected Democrats to its governorship since 1986. The state’s most recent Republican governor was Victor Atiyeh, who served as the Governor of Oregon from 1979 to 1987. The unbroken line of Democrat governors began with the inauguration of Neil Goldschmidt in the year 1987. The current governor of Oregon as of 2026 is Tina Kotek, who became governor in 2023 after winning the 2022 gubernatorial election. The governor is constitutionally limited to serving only two terms consecutively
Oregon’s liberal government has also passed laws that appeal to hippies and tree huggers. The state of Oregon has committed to reduce its carbon footprint by 2050.
