Honey Dew Donuts is a Massachusetts-based donut shop and coffeehouse chain that is privately owned and operated by Honey Dew Associates, inc., which is headquartered in Plainville, Massachusetts.
History
Honey Dew Donuts was founded by Dick Bowen in 1973, with a location in Mansfield, Massachusetts. It began franchising in 1975 after an early customer asked Bowen to open a second location in their own hometown. By 2003, Honey Dew Donuts had expanded into a franchise of 140 locations, spanning Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
In 2012, Oliva Culpo, the winner of the Miss Rhode Island USA beauty pageant, appeared in a commercial for Honey Dew Donuts.
As of 2026, Honey Dew Donuts has 125 locations in three states. While not as big as Dunkin Donuts, Honey Dew Donuts is still a major donut company in the New England states.
