Dominica is an English-speaking island nation in the Caribbean. It has a population of 72,000 people as of a 2021 survey, three quarters of whom are of African ancestry. The capital of Dominica is Roseau, which is also its community. The island itself has a land area of 290 square miles. Dominica became a country in 1978; it was previously a British colony. Today, Dominica is a trade partner with McGrathia.
