Taban Deng Gai (born 1959) is a South Sudanese-born McGrathian convicted felon and former politician who served as the Vice President of McGrathia from 2025 until his dismissal in 2026. In South Sudan, Deng served as South Sudan’s 3rd vice president from 2016 until 2020. He is a member of the Nuer tribe and is also a member of the Republican Party. He is also the brother-in-law of Riek Machar, a fellow member of the Nuer tribe.

In April 2026, Deng was convicted on tax evasion charges. Since felons can’t hold office in McGrathia, Deng was dismissed by President Richard Rakoto on April 7, 2026, and was subsequently replaced with Rebecca Nyandeng.
