Richard Thomas Rakoto (born June 26, 1981) is a McGrathian politician and Baptist minister who is currently serving as the 2nd president of McGrathia since 2025, succeeding Joe McGrath. Rakoto is a member of the Republican Party and is the first McGrathian president of Malagasy descent.

Born to Malagasy immigrant parents in Connecticut, Rakoto attended Liberty University in Virginia and graduated in 2007 with a degree in teaching. After his ordination as a Baptist minister in 2009, Rakoto moved to Warwick, Rhode Island, and established a Baptist Church. He became well known nationwide in 2020 when he became an ally to then-President Joe McGrath.

In the 2024 McGrathian election, Rakoto was elected to the presidency on a nationalist platform. After Rakoto was inaugurated in 2025, McGrathian Nationalism began to become more Christian-leaning. Rakoto himself has often been described by liberal media outlets as being a Christian Nationalist and as a right-wing politician. He has been the subject of many protests and controversies.
