Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, businessman, and media personality who served as the 45th president of the United States of America from 2017 to 2025. A member of the Republican Party, Trump previously served as the CEO of the Trump Organization from 1971 until his election to the presidency. He was also the host of a reality show called The Apprentice, which aired on the American TV network NBC from 2004 to 2017. He was elected president in 2016, defeating Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. In 2020, he was narrowly re-elected to the presidency. Due to term limits, Trump couldn’t run again in 2024. He was succeeded by Richard Rakoto.
