History

Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Wisconsin

Prior to 2017, Wisconsin had been claimed by various European colonial empires, including France (1634-1763), Great Britain (1763-1783), and the United States (1783-2017). When Wisconsin seceded from the United States in 2017, it was initially a republic governed as a democracy. The first president of Wisconsin was Scott Walker, who was also the last governor of the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

In 2019, the country’s government was deposed by a rogue military general following the results of the 2018 presidential election. The country briefly became a dictatorship until 2021, when a civil war broke out.

The Wisconsinite Civil War began in 2021 and concluded in 2023. The dictatorship ultimately fell and a provisional government was established. On December 10, 2023, the government of Wisconsin transitioned from a failed republic into a constitutional monarchy, with Prince Harry, a member of the British Royal Family, being proclaimed as King Harry the First of Wisconsin. King Harry’s role as monarch is merely ceremonial and all political power is held by Parliament. Sean Duffy, the leader of the Wisconsin Conservative Party, was elected as the nation’s first prime minister.
