Maranhao is a Portuguese-speaking country in Northeastern South America. It has a land area of 128 square miles and a population of 7 million people. The country is divided into 217 municipalities, with the capital being Sao Luis, located on the country’s northern coastline with the Atlantic Ocean. The country was established in 2021 and is governed as a military dictatorship. It also has a similar flag to the nearby United States of Northeastern America, which is its only major ally in the region. Maranhao is the poorest country in both the western hemisphere and in the world of Joe’s Lore.It is also planning to launch a manned mssion into space in June 2026.
