John Quisquam Public (born September 17, 1949) is a retired economist from McGrathia. He often runs for political office on a single-issue platform to expand social security to young adults and children.
Early Life, Military Service, and Education
Public was born and raised in Eastern Tennessee during the 1950s and 60s. He served in the Vietnam War after being drafted in 1968. Following his honorable dischargement in 1971, Public would begin attending college at the University of Connecticut. He graduated in 1975 with a degree in business management.
Political Runs
After working as an economist for 39 years, Public retired in 2014 at the age of 65.
In 2018, following the proclamation of McGrathian independence, Public relocated to McGrathia from his previous home of Hialeah, Florida. He became a naturalized McGrathian citizen in 2020 at age 71.

In 2024, Public ran for the office of President of McGrathia. He ran on a single issue platform of expanding Social Security to kids and young adults. He ultimately lost to incumbent president Joe McGrath, receiving zero percent of the popular vote.

John Q. Public currently resides in Chautauqua County, McGrathia. He is childless and unmarried.
