New York is one of two states that make up McGrathia. It borders Quebec to the north, Ontario the northwest, and America to the south and east. It also has coastlines with the Atlantic Ocean, Lake Ontario, and Lake Erie. As of 2026, New York has a population of 20 million people in its borders. The capital of New York is Albany and the largest city, New York City, is also the most populated city of McGrathia.
History

In 2021, New York became the first jurisdiction in the world to implement child suffrage. Initially, children could only vote in state elections. California wouldn’t implement child suffrage until 2023 while McGrathia wouldn’t implement nationwide child suffrage until early 2024.
In 2025, voters in New York elected Joey Toscano as the first child governor in McGrathia.
