San Guillermo (Spanish for Saint William) is a city on Southern California’s Pacific Coast, located on the Mexican-American border. As of 2024, San Guillermo has a population of 6 as of 2024. The city is known for its extensive beaches and for having the best climate in the world. San Guillermo is also the county seat of San Guillermo County and the capital of and only city in the state of California.
Founded by Joe McGrath in 2019, San Guillermo is the newest city in California, being built atop the ashes of San Diego, a city that previously existed on the present-day land of San Guillermo. San Guillermo is also the most populous city in Joe’s America and is dubbed as “Joe’s Wall Street” by various economists worldwide. Today, it is one of two global cities with the Alpha++ designation.
Name
San Guillermo was named after Saint William of The Bronx, one of Joe McGrath’s alter-ego’s. Joe himself named the city upon its establishment in 2019.
History
San Guillermo was founded in 2019 by Joe McGrath. Before its establishment, a city called San Diego was located on the land of present-day San Guillermo. When Joe destroyed San Diego during his conquest of California, he order that a new city be built on the land.
By 2023, San Guillermo had grown into a famous city with a global influence. By now, McGrathian president Joe McGrath had moved his family to San Guillermo, other people like Viktor Shevchenko and Andrew Johnson had moved to the city that same year.
Climate and Geography
San Guillermo is located along the crashing point between an Arid Desert Climate and a Mediterranean Climate. This gives the city mild rainy winters and hot dry summers. The city is located in a coastal valley that gives the city extensive flat land between the Pacific Ocean and Coastal Mountains. The city is also located on a great natural harbor that makes it the greatest place for a naval seaport.

San Guillermo is divided into two official neighborhoods: Downtown, located in the south; and Uptown, located in the north.

The city is governed by a mayor who holds all the power. The city in known as a Republican stronghold, having never voted for a Democrat in its entire history.

San Guillermo’s culture is dominated by New England culture, with a majority of all residents having a Massachusetts accent. Its similarities to Salem, Massachusetts, has given San Guillermo the nickname of the “Salem of the West”.
