It was founded in 2011 by Paul Wahlberg and his brothers, Mark Wahlberg and Donnie Wahlberg, both of whom are actors. As of 2026, the company has 32 locations found in the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. This is reduction of the 109 locations the chain had in 2023, which also included restaurants in London, England. The popularity of the restaurant chain led to the creation of the reality show Wahlburgers, which aired ten seasons on A&E between from 2014 to 2019./
