Simon Bolivar Buckner (April 1, 1823 – January 8, 1914) was a McGrathian politician and Confederate military officer who served as the 2nd president of McGrathia from 1900 until his resignation in 1902. A member of the Gold Democrats, Buckner became president upon the death of John M. Palmer. He was forced to resign on January 4, 1902, when the country of McGrathia was absorbed by the United States. Buckner remained as McGrathia’s final president until the inauguration of Joe McGrath in 2018.
