Arjun Ramaswamy Kumar (born February 4, 2016) is a ten-year-old boy from the Republic of McGrathia.
Early Childhood
Arjun Kumar was born on February 4, 2016, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Prem Kumar, is an immigrant from the Himalayan country of Nepal. His mother, Indra, is a Hindi-speaking immigrant from India. Arjun’s first name is a Hindi word that translates to silver. His surname, Kumar, is an ancient Sanskrit word which translates to prince. Thus, Arjun’s name mean ‘silver prince’.
In 2020, when Arjun was four years old, he began to love music. He began singing at a this point. Even though he was raised as a Hindu, Arjun joined a church choir at a Lutheran in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2024 at the age of eight.
Coming to McGrathia
In December 2025, Arjun’s parents divorced and he was taken custody by his father, Prem Kumar. Prem attempted to return to Nepal with Arjun. However, due to shared custody between Prem and his ex-wife Indra, Arjun could not be brought back to Nepal with his father. Eventually, a court in California ordered Prem Kumar to put Arjun up for adoption.
In January 2026, Arjun Kumar was adopted by Joe McGrath, the President of McGrathia since 2018. Ever since then, he has lived in the country of McGrathia. On Arjun’s tenth birthday, which occurred on February 4, 2026, he was naturalized as a citizen of McGrathia. He is the first person of South Asian ancestry to be granted McGrathian citizenship.
Personal Life
Friends and Family
Arjun currently lives in McGrathia with his adoptive father, President Joe McGrath. He is best friends with Joey Toscano and Sergey Petrov.
Choir Singing
Arjun still sings as a choir boy. However, since there is no church in McGrathia, Arjun only sings at special events held at Joe McGrath Stadium. At the start of an American football game, Arjun sings the song My Country ‘Tis of Thee, which is McGrathia’s national anthem. He has been dubbed as the official choir boy of the McGrathia Patriots football team.
When U.S. President Donald Trump visited McGrathia on February 24, 2026, Arjun sung the McGrathian national anthem followed by the American national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner. This event occurred at Joe McGrath Stadium prior to President Trump’s speech.
When Arjun sings, he wears a black cassock with black dress shoes. This is his old choir uniform from when he sang in the choir of a Lutheran church in Los Angeles.

Arjun only eats pizza and microwave popcorn. He is often described by some unspecified health websites as a picky eater.
