A referendum will be held in Coahuila on October 5, 2026, to determine the new flag for the country. If no design receives a majority of the votes, then a runoff will be held on January 8, 2027. The current flag of Coahuila will not be an option for voters in this referendum as it is only the country’s temporary flag. All flag designs must be submitted no later than September 1, 2026.
