Edward Tudor-McGrath (born Edward Tudor; October 12, 1537) is the former heir and only surviving son of King Henry VIII of England. On November 21, 1546, Edward was adopted by Joe McGrath during a time travel mission. Afterwards, he was brought by Joe to year 2026. Currently living in Joetown, Edward is an adoptive brother of Michael McGrath and a stepbrother of Sergey Petrov.
Early Childhood in Tudor England
Edward was born on October 12, 1537, at Hampton Court Palace in what was then Middlesex County, England. He was to son of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. He was christened three days later. Despite initially showing signs of recovery, Queen Jane died nine days later on October 24, 1537, from complications of Edward’s birth.
As a child, Edward was raised to eventually succeed to the throne of England once King Henry was to die. In 1543, Henry signed a treaty with the Kingdom of Scotland, which allowed for Edward to one day marry his seven month old cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots. King Henry’s plan was to united the kingdoms of Scotland and England under one crown. However, when Scotland renewed their alliance with France later that year, Henry was outraged and in 1544 he ordered Edward’s uncle, the Earl of Hertford, to burn down the Scottish city of Edinburgh. This renewed warfare between England and Scotland that continued until 1551.
The Time Travel Incident
On November 21, 1546, a mysterious object appeared out of nowhere at Whitehall Palace. The object was an H.G. Wells time machine piloted by Joe McGrath, the president of McGrathia. Joe travelled through time and space from the year 2026 and just so happened to appear in Tudor England. Just as King Henry’s men were about to slaughter Joe under the crime of sorcery, Joe used a gun that he brought from the future to defend himself. Joe then kidnapped Edward and brought him back to McGrathia the year 2026.
Henry, now heartbroken from the kidnapping of his only male heir, died on January 28, 1547. Since Edward was no longer able to assume the throne, Henry’s daughter, Princess Mary, was crowned as Queen Mary I. She attempted to return England to Catholic Christianity during her eleven year long reign, but England reverted back to Protestantism under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, who succeeded Mary to the throne in 1558.
Edward’s Life in McGrathia
