Kmart is a department store in the Republic of McGrathia. It is owned by the McGrathian government, who licenses the Kmart trademarks from Sears Holdings Corporation, the owner of the remaining Sears and Kmart stores in the United States. Unlike Kmart in the United States, which has mostly gone out of business, Kmart in McGrathia is thriving due to lack of other shopping options in the country following the closure of Walmart in 2025. The first McGrathian Kmart, located at 13 Central Avenue in Joetown, opened in 2021. It remains the Joetown’s only department store as of December 11, 2025.
