Second Chances is a McGrathian animated dramedy television show that was broadcasted on JBC Television from August 17th to November 5th, 2025. It is a television spinoff of the movies One Week and One Week Later. The series follows Sergey Petrov and Michael Torres, two newly bonded friends from juvenile detention, who join a youth community program where they meet new kids and learn responsibility one week at a time. Each episode features warm humor, a personal growth moment, and a small challenge that needs to be resolved. The show was created by Henry Nicholson, who was the director of the One Week Franchise.

Episode 1 “The New Start” (aired August 17, 2025)
In episode one, Sergey and Michael volunteer to help with a youth program at the community center. After doing a crafts challenge with Talia involving cups and tape, the trio do some garden work. During the garden work, Michael discovers a sprinkler in the mulch thinking buried treasure. The sprinkler then sprays water at Sergey, Michael, and Talia.
At the end of episode, the three leave the community center for the night. Sergey and Michael go back to their houses, proud that they survived the first day.
Episode 2 “The Volunteer Vexation” (aired September 24, 2025)
In episode two, Sergey and Michael arrive at the community center on their bikes, wearing orange t-shirts that say “Teen Volunteers”. When they go inside, they realize that Ms. Harland is now the new supervisor for the youth program. Due to the center being short staffed, Ms. Harland puts Sergey and Michael in charge of organizing the Kids Day Carnival.
As Sergey and Michael are organizing through the boxes, a girl named Kayla comes to help the boys organize. Suddenly, a group a young children show up early after being let in by Ms. Harland. immediately, chaos happens as kids are throwing beanbags at Sergey and pouring glitter and glue onto Michael. Once the carnival calms down, a new problem impacts the group when they realized that a child is missing. After they find the girl and reunite her with her mom, Sergey, Michael, and Kayla clean up the mess and go home.
Episode 3 “The Mentor Mix-Up” (aired October 1, 2025)

Episode 5 “The Fundraiser Fiasco” (aired October 15, 2025)
In this episode, Sergey and Michael enter the community center and discover that a fundraiser carnival for the community center is going on today. The boy are joined by two characters named Miles and Reese. All four kids are assigned to set-up the technology room.
After that assignment is over with, the group is expected to fix a popcorn machine which quickly starts sparking and catching fire. After Miles presses the steam button, Michael uses the fire extinguisher to prevent a steam explosion. When the carnival begins, the speakers malfunction and make a loud noise. The group fixes the problem, saving the carnival. In the end, the four boys chow down on cones of popcorn.
Episode 6 “A Day Without Sergey” (aired October 22, 2025)

Episode 7 “The Missing Laptop” (aired October 29, 2025)
In this episode, Sergey and Michael are blamed by Mrs. Patel for stealing her laptop from her computer lab.

This episode was the series finale of Second Chances.
Cancellation
On October 31, 2025, JBC announced that Second Chances would be cancelled after only eight episodes. The reason why the show was purged was due to low ratings. The show continues to be broadcasted on JBC as reruns, but no new episode will be made.

In the United States, Second Chances is available to be streamed on Prime Video.
In the United Kingdom, Second Chances was broadcasted on the BBC, which is the only television channel in England that has the broadcasting rights for JBC programming.
