The Inca and the Angel is a 2026 McGrathian TV show created by former McGrathian president Joe McGrath for the McGrathian Broadcasting System (MBS). The show follows Sergei Ivanov, a nine-year-old angel boy, who accidentally brings two fraternal twins from the Incan Empire to the present day while time travelling. The running gag of the show is about Sergei’s multiple efforts to to help the Incan twins, who are nicknamed Nino and Nina (Spanish for boy and girl respectively), assimilate into a 21st century lifestyle.
Premise
In the first episode of the show, Sergei Ivanov is a nine-year-old boy of Russian ancestry who lives in California. His mother is an angel who is always off-screen while his father is a mortal human. Sergei himself is half-human, half-angel. As he has angel DNA, that means he has magic powers, including the power to time travel.
One day, Sergei time travels to the Incan Empire, which was a vast empire in South America that was destroyed by the Spanish conquistadores. Thinking the past is boring, Sergei returns home, but he unintentionally brought a fraternal pair eight-year-old twins from the Inca Empire to the present. Instead of returning the twins, Sergei lets them stay. His main objective from his mom and dad is to help the Incan twins get used to a 21st century American lifestyle.
The twins are named Nino and Nina, since Nino is a boy and Nina is a girl. Both twins only speak Quechua (the Incan Empire’s indigenous language) in the pilot, but learn English by episode two. Nino and Nina also wear matching red jumpsuits with yellow shoes. Sergei himself wears the stereotypical angel uniform: a white robe, golden wings, and a golden halo above his head.

Production
This show was the acting debut of Miguel and Maria Garcia, two fraternal twins who were born in Peru, but would immigrate to California. Both Twins were casted as Nino and Nina due to their high fluency in the Quechua language, which they can speak along English their native language Spanish.
Previously, ten-year-old Joe Robertson appeared in sketches on the McGrathian sketch comedy program McGrathia Live portraying Sergey Petrov, the Russian son of Joe McGrath. When Joe McGrath created The Inca and the Angel, he hired Joe Robertson to play the role of Sergei Ivanov. Due to Joe Robertson’s close resemblance to Sergey Petrov, Svetlana Petrov, the mother of Sergey, attempted to get a cease-and-desist ruling from a Southern California court to halt its production, though this was soon denied by the court. Svetlana’s claim was that Joe Robertson’s resemblance to Sergey would get him bullied in school.
With no legal problems from Svetlana, The Inca and the Angel was allowed to continue production. It was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. The show premiered on MBS Television in McGrathia on September 18, 2026, at the 7:00 p.m. timeslot. Critics called the show one of the best TV shows to premiere on MBS in two years. The show was the first McGrathian TV show to feature Peruvian child actors, in this case, referring to Miguel and Maria Garcia. A poll conducted TV Guide of McGrathia voted the show as the best McGrathian TV program of 2026.
