San Diego (Spanish for Saint Dennis) is a city in Southern California, located along the Mexican-American border. As of 2025, San Diego has a population of 3.3 million, making it the second largest city in California after Los Angeles. It is also the 8th largest city in the United States and the most populated American city along an international border.
