Rudolph William Louis Giuliani (Born May 28, 1944) is an American disbarred lawyer and politician who served as the 107th mayor of New York City, New York, from January 1, 1994 to December 31, 2001. A member of the Republican Party, Giuliani was the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1983 to 1989. He was also a Republican candidate for president in the 2008 Presidential Election, but this was short lived.
