Arizona is a brand of iced tea that was introduced in 1992. It is currently manufactured by the Arizona Beverage Company, a beverage company based in Woodbury, New York. The Arizona Beverage Company also owns the Arnold Palmer brand of iced tea and lemonade. The company also sells nachos, apparel, ice pops, and fruit snacks using the Arizona brand. Arizona Iced Tea is primarily sold in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Originally founded as a beer distributer in New York City, Arizona was introduced in 1992 as a way to compete with Snapple iced tea. In the United States, Arizona beverages cost only US$0.99. In Canada, the beverages costs C$1.50. To prevent stores from raising the price, Arizona prints the ninety-nine cent price point onto their iced tea cans.
